The Medium was 'seated' in the open cabinet in red lighting conditions for the duration of the seance.

The evening was high-energy throughout. A video recording was made of this seance and clips will be uploaded to the spirit harmony video site as soon as they are completed. It has to be said though that, as humorous and enjoyable as these clips are to watch, they offer little resemblance to the experience the sitters shared. More than one visiting guest sitter has arrived expecting little evidence of spirit contact through this medium...only to be blown away by the reality!

I’m still finding it difficult to find the words to adequately describe the sense of enormous power/energy that comes with a sitting with Richard! In fact I don’t think I can really! His spirit team are able to walk him out of the cabinet and have him ‘perform’ energetic, complex and continuously long dances/movements, perfectly in time to the music being played – it really is incredible to watch. These ‘dances’ ranged from Native American ritualistic dances, to dainty ballet dances.

Not only are they able to do this, but the spirit team are ‘effecting’ transfiguration over his face also, and from the start of the séance, I was able to see the faces of the people moving around in the Lodge. It was difficult to make out fine features as he was moving, but the energy around his face was unmistakable, and on occasion, it seemed Richards head turned within a ‘bubble’ of energy surrounding him.

Of the faces I actually recognised! Well, ha ha! Blimey! I saw my paternal Grandfather VERY clearly at one point when Richard was seated (he wasn’t ever seated for very long!), and I also clearly saw the profile of Freddie Mercury on at least two occasions as his ‘dance’ began. I also saw Clyde’s face, which was obviously rather special!

But what happened at the very end of the séance was something else entirely! Richard was seated, and I noticed the room had become very misty/foggy. Then I became aware of myself being absolutely transfixed on Richards face. I couldn’t, and didn’t want to turn away from him. I felt absolutely drawn to him.

Then I realised I was looking through what appeared to be like a tunnel through the ‘fog’ that connected me to Richard and I felt like I was being pulled forward towards him. And then it went completely mental, as one by one, I recognised relative, after relative, crystal clear in front of me - first my paternal Grandfather again, followed by Clyde, then my two Nan’s, then my Great Nan. It didn’t stop. It was like a 3D slide show of my entire family, and it was mind blowing!

The medium was seated unrestrained within the open cabinet for most of the seance, although he now spends a great deal of time outside of the cabinet presenting different personalities. Two red lights presented clear lighting conditions.

It has to be said that seance reports cannot fairly present the manner with which this spirit team are working. The medium has short legs and is currently dieting to reduce overweight. To witness his form being manipulated to demonstrate fluid ballet, complex jive, smooth waltz and Scots sword dance is simply hilarious and frankly impossible in everyday terms. The medium has limited knowledge of music and often when a spirit visitor has been encouraged forward by a particular piece he remains totally unaware of either the music itself or of the identity of the visiting entity.

In addition to the physical manipulation of the medium's body the spirit team are also working to present a wide variety of voice tones.

The seance began as usual, but music was played spasmodically...the intention being to encourage communication between the sitters and spirit team. The spirit team habitually manipulate the medium's physical body whenever music is played...they demonstrate this when he is seated as well as when standing.

The team appears to be working to present the medium's body in a manner typcially recognisable of witnessess deceased friends and relatives, and to accompany their demonstrtation with appropriate voice. Time will tell.

Richard was seated within the open cabinet in clear soft lighting conditions. During the seance he experienced spontaneous trance during which time the spirit team caused him to physically stand.

Richard’s spirit team now control his physical body to an even greater extent than they did last year. The best way to describe this is to say that various members of the spirit team appear to walk around the room ‘wearing’ his body. When they do this they display their own personality and style of movement. Some also speak through the medium. All of this appears bizarre…but is fascinating to watch and extremely funny!

Alongside the physical presentations there are also signs that the mediums voice is becoming altered…perhaps eventually this will enable the voice of physically recognisable deceased relatives to become demonstrated? Time will tell.

An hilarious fun filled seance!

Richard had been away over Christmas and this was his first sitting since. Pat and I were the only two supporting sitters on this occasion, which enabled me to trial something different….so, as Richard’s spirit team always react to the music I determined to turn the music off for awhile to see what happened.

The séance began as usual with the medium seated unrestrained within the open cabinet with red lighting set. The music then played and the medium was physically moved by his spirit team to perform a complex dance routine, at first whilst seated, and then later whilst standing. As is often the case the spirit team withdrew suddenly at the end of the dance demonstration, leaving Richard fully conscious and sitting on the floor!

Following this hilarity Richard settled back into the cabinet and sounds familiarly heard during the development of ectoplasmic phenomena emanated from his chest and throat. These sounds continued spasmodically throughout the séance and were not related to physical ill health. The Chief then came through and performed a dance in the middle of the room, until again Richard was thrown out of trance at the end, to find himself again upon the floor.

The music was then turned off and the spirit team were invited to communicate. This invitation appeared to be warmly welcomed as just about all of them came through, at the same time! Some regular communicators are recognised by their presentation of specific physical movements or by voice. The spirit team therefore now decided to move Richard’s arms and legs to separately present different spirit visitors, whilst his voice offered further evidence of the presence of others. I recognised 11 different entities before giving up the count!

Gradually things calmed down. I then asked William a few questions, but these were largely considered to be a waste of his time! William simply said that the team are working in the way that they are working and why did I need to ask what they are doing when I can see this for myself! When asked what the spirit teams intention, or long term objective, is he replied that they are doing whatever they can do as best they can of course and they cannot do more until they do it and asking questions doesn’t get anyone anywhere!

Towards the end of the seance the music returned and several familiar spirit visitors took centre stage, much to the delight of both sitters.

Returning to my communication with William for a moment; I feel I need to say that the Lodge is set to support the development and demonstration of Physical mediumship and evidential communication. The medium, Richard, wishes to work in the light as, for him, blackout causes doubt. Therefore the spirit team are working in whatever way they consider best to meet the agreed plan. Currently throughout the evening in the Spirit Haven circle things are witnessed that cannot be rationally explained. Every séance is different, every sitting is love enriched and fun filled and every evening ends with sitters complaining that their faces are aching from laughing!

The music was changed this evening. Basically the music has been energetic until now...but Chris decided to change this tonight, with two slow pieces followed by a lively one. The result was interesting. Not sure if it's quite 'right' yet...but everything is an experiment so we'll try this one again before making any alterations to it if need be.

Transfiguration phenomena was notably witnessed by all four sitters. There were some sort of internal adjustments being made to the mediums throat area too, with voice changes occuring. Both these things were more apparent tonight than previously.

The spirit team each demonstrated their presence during the evening...they were all typically high spirited in fact!

Further experiments will continue.

An hilarious and somewhat chaotic fun filled seance! The spirit team demonstrated their physical control of the medium to an amazing extent...it is difficult to describe!

Basically, the team members each presented with clearly recognised individual personalities. The mediums physical movements were unlike his own. In addition, several times during the seance the medium's throat and chest were 'vibrated' and sounds unlike his own voice became heard.

We understand that development is taking place and further clarity of intent will gradually become apparent. Meanwhile whatever the spirit team gets up to it's thoroughly enjoyable to watch!

The seance began as usual with high energy apparent. Many...a vast number, of spirit visitors came forward. Most, if not all, were spirit team members. Identifying them was difficult though as they seemed intent upon demonstrating their control of the mediums physical body...often several at once! Legs recognised as belonging to one spirit visitor was paired with the torso of another! At one point the mediums arms and legs were clearly being controlled separately and effectively by four identifiable spirit people! It was fascinating and highly amusing!

The Chief then stood up and danced as he has displayed himself many times...this too is fascinating to watch. The evening progressed in this same manner....with much laughter becoming shared on both sides. In all a fantastic evening!

The medium, who has recently enjoyed a holiday of over-eating is now sorry he ate so much...but will certainly have burned up a few calories tonight!

This evenings sitting was set for developmental support. Therefore I sat as witness for Richard who was seated within the open cabinet.   Clear lighting conditions applied and spirit communication was enabled through a light to medium level of trance control.

During the remainder of the seance the spirit team worked along with William. During the process some developmental progress became effected.

An interesting point, from my perspective, was that sitters have recently been joking about famous spirit visitors coming forward, and this medium in particular wasn't impressed by this type of scenario.  Therefore when a famous person presented himself clearly tonight I half expected the mediums consciousness to block the connection.  I was however pleased to note that the medium in fact remained true to his role and allowed his spirit team to 'do what they will'...therefore the famous person came through naturally and without restriction.

A similar situation occured at the end of the seance.  This affected both the medium and myself in fact.

The CD was coming to an end and I knew that there were two songs remaining. The medium had been in light trance for much of the seance and was therefore readily 'brought back'....so I decided to skip the last song on the disc. However, when the time came FC (circle spirit guide) gave me a strong spirit-shove! He was annoyed...the song I had decided to skip was 'his favourite'.   As a result, I followed his guidence and let the CD play.   The medium by now was fully aware and I suggested that he had a drink of water (placed beside him) as we awaited seance closure.

Having taken a drink of water, the medium fell back into his chair as a result of spontaneous spirit controlled trance! I watched with interest!   As I did so, his eyes opened and his face 'became' one that I have seen previously presented through Jerry several times. As the face became presented I felt an overwhelming love. I knew the face I saw to be that chosen by FC as a representation of himself.

Keeping quiet (with difficulty) about the communicators identity, I afterwards asked Richard what he had felt when the final communicator had come forward. Richard said that he felt that it was "a Being" rather than presenting as a male or female human form. I was well impresssed by this!  FC tells me that he has never lived as an individual upon the earth plane...but that he is a presentation representative of many that have. Due to a need to communicate with me he has been required to learn how to communicate and has formed a personality.

The medium, Richard, was seated (supposed to be) within the open cabinet in clear red lighting conditions throughout the seance.

Richard's spirit team were on a roll tonight! We don't know what their purpose is, but whatever it is the energy was high and fun-filled and it's a pity we can't bottle it! Various spirit team members popped in, moving his body around physically, causing him to dance energetically. They then effected his slow slide onto the floor! He's aware of what's happening and says it feels fine, but he has little or no control over it...and he wishes they'd stop bashing his knees on the floor!

His trance level takes dips and dives. This week a new spirit visitor, William, talked about his being there to deepen the trance condition. William came through with strong energy. He also showed himself through transfiguration phenomena...which is rarely seen through this Medium.

From the sitters perspective it was all hilarious to watch. It's also, frankly, oddly amazing. Sandy's early development (Spirit Space) was similar in presentation, I remember that she was one time shaken like a rag doll...yet suffered no ill effects whatsoever. Afterwards she told sitters that she'd felt that her spirit team were moving her, but the witnesses description differed greatly from this.

Tonights seance was, as always, great fun and we can't wait for more!

For those without audio access, I will explain. The chief belonged to a small tribe of Native American Indians. They wore body coverings as camouflage and used their abilities to remain hidden in order to hunt animals and to attack other tribes. The chief considered himself to be a warrier. However, the tribe danced and through excitement convinced themselves that they were invisible. The chief died because he wasn't.

A really interesting seance! It takes away the fear of death that's for sure!

The medium, Richard, was seated (this term is used loosely) within the open cabinet throughout the seance. The first half of the evening was set in red lighting conditions. The latter in blackout.

For the first half of the evening the spirit team demonstrated their physical control of the medium by 'dancing' in many styles with rapid fluidity and precise movement relevent to the variety of dance music offered. This ranged from the Scottish reel to ballet, tango and tribal dance. During the tribal dance 'The Chief' rose to his feet and danced within the room...his feet padding and staming in true Native American style. Chris, having seen a similar (but shorter) demonstration on a previous occasion, noted that the figure-presentation was standing slightly bent and with shoulders forward on both occasions, and that the shoulders of the spirit person controlling the mediums body appeared to have wider shoulders than Richard himself.

The seond half of the evening was set in blackout. This is because we currently understand that direct voice is becoming developed and ectoplasm is to be used to effect this. Tonight it was apparent that the voice channel within the medium was being tested. Some of the previous recordings have presented external or projected direct voice. Tonights demonstration indicated internal voice-channel work was taking place. It's interesting to hear the difference:

Towards the end of the seance Chris recognised the presence of visiting spirit child Tom. As Chris feels fond affection for Tom and his spirit friend Rachel (who is an unknown entity to the medium) she mentioned Rachel to Tom. With this...Rachel promptly 'arrived' and 'all hell broke loose'!
The medium, who was conscious throughout, was suddenly overtaken by a mass of visiting spirit's all seemingly in party-chaos-mode. Chris, aside from recognising Tom and Rachel also heard Yellow Feather offer his name. Bringing up the rear a powerful roar also indicated the possible presence of Luther. The noise was deafening, the energy sky-high and great fun was had by all.

What was totally stunning for the medium was that, when this 'mob' withdrew at the end of 'their' piece of music, they left him trance-free, fully conscious and wide awake! Tom has visited through Richard before, and the same situation occurs with each visit. Tom arrives 'fluidly' but at the end of his visit he suddenly withdraws, seeming to 'knock' Richard out of trance as he leaves. No-one yet knows the reason for this....but then...we don't know the reason for anything else either!

Note...at various times within this seance Richard was on the floor...the spirit team seeming to put him there as some form of party trick. On one occasion he was 'spun' on the floor...rotating (he thinks) about six times.

Interesting! We look forward to the next sitting. Richard's away for ten days now...we can't wait for him to return!

October 18th

The medium, Richard, was seated unrestrained within the open cabinet throughout. The first part of the seance was held in red lighting, the second in blackout.

It has to be said that this was one of the most chaotic seances we've witnessed to date. The spirit team took physical control of the Medium immediately and proceeded to lead him to perform ballet, Latin American, Scottish and Native American dance routines that wouldn't shame a contestant on 'Britains Got Talent'. Most of these dance routines were effected with the medium seated in his chair...others on the floor! The chief stood up to perform his Native American dance, stamping his feet in true style...the affect surreal. After this, as the blackout conditions became effected the energy within the lodge was fantastic!

Within the dark and unseen by witnesses it was clear that the dance routines continued. We don't knwo why this is. During this period of blackout progress towards the development of direct voice phenomena was evident. The Medium afterwards told sitters that he is conscious during this process...and feels a strong vibration within his throat. His throat, neck and upper chest, feels strange and certainly out of his control. Within this audio clip the listener can hear the 'mix' of conscious Medium, alongside the control of his spirit team as they effect the voice channel.

Towards the end of the seance Chris asked to speak with the spirit team. In response to this request the Chief came forward. Chris asked him what the spirit teams intentions are, and what is their ultimate aim. The Chief replied that they are all working hard, the energy is building and the sky is the limit! With that, he withdrew!
The Spirit Harmony circle is fun filled and much enjoyed by all. Where the high energy spirit team is leading us remains a mystery!

NOTE: At some point Chris will make a more firm attempt to communicate and negotiate with the spirit team in order to gain some clarity of intention. However, it is this circles preference to allow the team to 'do their job' with as little human interference as possible. As everything feels safe and fun-filled we are happy to go with the flow!

October 11th

This seance was first held in red lighting condition, followed by a period of blackout. The cabinet remained open at all times and the medium, Richard, was unrestrained.

The evening began with a demonstration of spirit control. Basically, as we currently think we understand it, the spirit team is working to build up trust between themselves and the medium. They appear to be taking increased control of his physical body each week. This is demonstrated by envigorating dance displays and by voice control. Many sound files have been made available within previous reports that adequately demonstrate this.

From our circles perspective one occurence within this seance was of special interest. Warren had been sitting in seance within the lodge over the weekend. Tom (presented spirit child) came along with him and it seems that he remained in the lodge after the event and made his continuing presence known tonight.

Note: Tom is not a regular communicator within the lodge, other than when he visits through Warren. However, he has made visits through other mediums here upon occasion. Tonight he came through strongly and then his sudden departure brought Richard out of trance.

Note: It is not unusual for spirit visitors to 'hop' between mediums, particularly when sharing energy within a particular venue. The lodge is like a melting pot and this 'hopping' happens often here.

It is intended for the format of the Spirit Harmony circle to become changed gradually as the work continues towards the development of direct voice phenomena. The ultimate aim is to produce physical evidence of continuing life that can be witnessed within the light.

The medium was seated in the open cabinet throughout the evening, but the lighting was changed to blackout conditions after eight pieces of music.

During the first part of the seance, as usual the demonstration of spirit-controlled dance was witnessed with many different spirit personalities being seen clearly amongst the 'dance team'. It was rather like watching a rave up in a disco...in a condensed form. This was much enjoyed by all. This demonstration caused the energy within the room to expand considerably!

When the light was extinguished direct voice development was trialled, but was less effective than usual on this occasion. The range of vocalisation (through spirit controlled trance) was quite impressive:

The Chief came forward and caused a bit of confusion amongst sitters by dancing, with one 'stamp' coming from the cabinet area, with the second coming from much further across the room. Very odd! But everyone present heard this!

During the evening the sitters and the medium all believe that three serious attempts were made to raise the trumpet. On each occasion everyone present lost view of it...it seemed to be totally enclosed in 'energy fizz'. The strongest of these demonstrations was within music familiar with Queen. This has in fact been noticed on previous occasions.

NOTE: Next Tuesday we have a visit from our Welsh group friends, who enable table levitation. We will be 'back to our normal selves' within Spirit Harmony the following week.

The designated medium, Richard, was seated unrestrained within the open cabinet, in red lighting conditions upon the opening of the séance.
Later in the evening the light was extinguished so as to effect blackout conditions that we believe are best support the development of direct voice phenomena.

During the first part of the séance the medium permitted his spirit team to control his arms, legs and torso. They presented an impressive display of seated-dance moves. This display included the lambada, jive, Scottish sword dance and ballet. Hilarious as always! The regular sitters present recognised Chan, Elf, Maestro, the Chief, Jock, Ted and the Angel amongst the spirit demonstrators.

When blackout was set the development of direct voice commenced. As we understand it, at present, the spirit team appear to be creating a separate voice tube or channel beside the vessels own voice box.

This tube is apparently vibrated to create sounds that will become used, by spirit, to present voices and to create other sounds. We noticed last week (see previous seance report) that two voices were heard at times (one being that of the medium and the other being from the separate vibrating channel)…this seeming to confirm our present understanding of the process.

The development of direct voice phenomena is a process that takes time and dedication. It is thanks to all those that sit in support of this project, on both sides of life, that such work continues to develop so strongly. Thanks everyone!

The medium, Richard, was seated unrestrained in the open cabinet throughout. The first part of the evening was held in red lighting conditions. The second half in blackout. Direct voice phenomena is becoming developed within the blackout period.

During the blackout period the range of sounds enabled by the spirit teams manipulation of the vessels own voice box and the creation of a separate internal voice channel became demonstrated. Please note that at this time the Circle, following guidence from both the medium himself and FC (circle supporting guide) the music volume is maintained at a high level. FC explains that this is to encourage the spirit team to produce loud sounds, to be clearly heard without need of a magnifying trumpet. The range of sounds within the music encourage the spirit team to expand their own range.

Although within the seance itself we heard sounds coming from the cabinet area, with many well-projected into the room....it wasn't until we played the seance recording back that we heard the potential for more than one voice to be heard. These two files in particular bring this possibility to light. Although unconfirmed at this stage...there does appear to be two voices 'at the same time'...neither being that of the medium.

This recording again denonstrates the sound range becoming acheived. At the very end of the demonstration the energy drops and the voice channel collapses....the medium's own voice is then briefly heard.

Following the direct voice demonstration the red light was switched on as the closing music was played. It could then be seen that Richard's spirit team had become blended with Sandy's regular spirit team. This resulted in Sandy's team moving to manipulate Richard's physical body. This was hilarious to watch and ensured that the seance ended on a high note!

NOTE:
After the seance Richard, who remained conscious throughout the seance, explained that a vibrating tube seemed to become formed within his throat area. This caused him to hold his head upright with his neck extended.  For voice to become projected forwards it became necessary for him to bend from the waist. Very odd!

The medium, Richard, was seated unretrained within the open cabinet for the duration of the seance. For the first half of the evening red lighting conditions applied. Later lighting was extinguished so as to effect blackout. We understand that the development of direct voice phenomena is being attempted and that blackout conditions favour this intent.

During the first half of the evening the medium was physically controlled by the spirit team. We are uncertain of how this process works...aside from Richard saying that he 'lets them' do what they like and feels a compulsion to allow their control to take place. He is conscious throughout, and by taking control of his thoughts (rather than allowing spirit free flow) is able to stop proceedings. The physical movements of his body during this period of the experiment are fluid and rather like those of a well trained dancer....which Richard certainly isn't! There are video files already available on this site that display the level of spirit control...and further video files will be recorded shortly as advancement has become obvious.

The second half of the seance is focussed upon the development of direct voice phenomea. There were many sounds heard that are typical of the early development of such phenomena, but in the main this evenings seance was loud and hilarious! None of us is sure where the voice control was coming from...but none of the voices sound like Richard's own....so...we live and learn!

The medium was seated in the open cabinet, sitting in clear red lighting conditions for the first half of the seance. The lights were then extinguished and blackout set for the second half. This was to be a new experiment, with the intent to support the development of direct voice phenomena...which for various reasons Chris had felt to be appropriate at this time.

Note: Sandy experienced loss of consciousness, being under spirit control, during the blackout period. Sandy sits in support of many developing mediums within the lodge and her spirit team's input is welcomed.

During the red light period the medium's spirit team responded by dancing to the variety of music being played. The medium was led into a sword dance, highland fling, ballet, and jive! This was hilarious to watch and the energy was felt to rise during the process.

When the blackout became effected sounds typically heard during the early development of direct voice phenomena became demonstrated. Some of these sounds projected into the room and were of a pitch unheard of normally through the medium's voice box. As the evening progressed further development became apparent.

The medium, Richard,was seated in the open cabinet within soft but clear lighting conditions.

The seance began as usual, with much laughter shared during the evening. The medium and his spirit team now cope well with the increased number of sitters. Ted came forward to chat, joking with Pat about her need to sit upon a commode (too much laughter!). Chan spoke briefly, as did the Chief. All the regular visiting spirit people and the known spirit team members showed themselves, their personalities over-shadowing that of the medium. Their presence was demonstrated steadily, their general stability now obvious to the regular witnesses.

Towards the end of the seance sitters became aware of an unusual presence. FC told Chris that this was the communicating entity that works with this medium on a Wednesday evening. Richard sits on Wednesday evenings in support of Lee, within the Spirit Haven circle. Recently it has become apparent that Richard himself is experiencing development within Lee's group. As a result of this evenings presentation it is clear that Richard, as well as Lee, is developing towards the demonstration of direct voice phenomena.
As this evenings seance drew to a close the 'new' communicating entity appeared to draw energy from deeply within the medium, and in so doing created some very peculiar sounds...these being recognised as the foundations of direct voice phenomena.

A very enjoyable and interesting seance, with clear progress becoming made.

NOTE: FC has, since this report, suggested that Richard withdraws from Lee's circle in order to develop his individual abilities more fully. Therefore, next Tuesday evening's seance will be held in soft lighting conditions at first, before the conditions are changed to blackout in support of the potential development of direct voice phenomena.

The seance was held in clear lighting conditions with the medium seated in the open cabinet.

Becca had never sat in a seance before and was filled with nervous excitement. The Spirit Harmony group is still new in its development and to date has never had more than two people sitting in support. We are aware that the energy blending process and resulting balance is crucial to the success of the spirit teams work...so tonight was somewhat of an experimental sitting.

We needn't have worried though. The spirit team began to display their presence and control within the first piece of music played. The whole evening then kicked off to a fine start, with Scottish dancing, ballet and opera all being clearly displayed by the seated medium! These presentations were both amazing and hilarious to watch! Becca's nervousness was soon forgotten as she watched the antics of the spirit team.

The medium was seated in the open cabinet in clear soft lighting conditions throughout.

The first communicator, Maestro, made his presence known towards the end of the opening music..he then proceeded to conduct the second piece. His hands moved in a refined and efficient manner, with the typical rise and fall of a conductor.

Other communicators, each recognised by both sitters, came forward throughout the evening. Ted. Mary rocking her baby. Jock (who did a highland fling and a sword dance). One-leg Harry. Elf. The Angel. The Chief. Chan. An oriental dancer. An opera singer (silent). A ballet dancer...offering her name as Merinda.
This was Richard's 8th developmental sitting. At the beginning of the experiment (two months ago) he was sitting with just Chris present. Both held open minds as to whether there was any potential for his trance development or otherwise. All sittings were reported nevertheless. It was obvious by the second sitting that there was undoubted potential....although 'escalating chaos' seems the best way to describe what was evolving. After five sittings a second person, a regular attendee of the Bristol Spirit Lodge circle, was invited to sit as witness. Thereafter seances had two witnesses present.

This weeks seance was notably more 'comfortable' than previously. Although the fun element was as high as last week...the actual flow of communicators was steady and stable throughout, with little of the previous chaos factor. This is a big step forward and we are now very happy to continue along the developmental path to see where it leads.

We are already looking forward to next week!

It was apparent, within a few moments, that the medium was experiencing an altered state of consciousness. He remained aware of his own movements throughout the seace, although having invited spiritual presence he was then powerless to resist. The spirit team are by now familiary known, recognised and trusted by both the medium and Chris.

The evening began with each spirit communicator reacting to the music played. Many have their own musicial preferances. Basically, it seems, that the energy within some of the pieces causes some of the spirit people to come forward. others seem to react to the type of musis...as in...Jock comes forward when the Scottish music is played and Chan when the Chinese notes is played, and the Chief when drums are played.

There was a high level of humour throughout the evening. In fact it was hilarious for much of the time!

We were later informed that the heightened energy caused by laughter and music were beneficial and would remain within the fabric of building. The energy would become used by the other mediums sitting for development, and was particularly suited to supporting Lee's development (Spirit Haven). Lee's development is causing great interest and excitement within the Spirit Harmony team.

During the evening Ted came through and offered an insight into death. Basically he told us that his problems had not all been solved by his death, because death was just like walking around a corner, no more than that, and he still had things to sort out.

Mary came forward. She was disappointed not to have heard her music being played. She spoke of the death of her husband, who'd died in the war. Then, soon afterwards, of her baby son's passing. She told us that she loves to come forward into the seance room where she can physically hold her baby son, Michael, again. He has, she says, now grown up and she and her husband are together also...but she likes to return to holding her baby as she'd not held him for long before he'd passed.

A thoroughly enjoyable and interesting evening. The pure fun and ease of it all was enjoyed by all!

What is the point of this, you may well ask?

Physical mediumship requires a medium, and sitters also, to sit together in harmony. Love and laughter are the key elements that cause this blending to become best effected.

One of the most difficult things for a medium to do is to Trust his spirit team....yet this is essential. The spirit team work with, and through, the medium. The medium has to be relaxed and able to trust that they themselves are 'safe' in order to allow the spirit team to 'enter'. Sometimes, in a more developed state, the medium themselves may be unconscious of what the spirit team are doing. Trust is therefore of paramount importance.

Part of Trust is 'letting go'...of letting things happen....of letting the spirit team take control. Richard is experiencing the early stages of such development. He is aware of his spirit team and is beginning to trust them and to allow them to move his body and to influence his mind. They, in turn are learning how to work with physical form, and to manipulate his body. Currently the result hilarious!

Not all mediums develop in this way of course. Richard's manner of blending with his spirit team is simply one example of what might occur during the early stages of trance development. Trance in Richard's case is of course set with the Intent towards the development of Physical mediumship, as is the case with all mediums sitting in the lodge setting. He is the second medium here in the lodge to develop in such an energetic manner. The medium in the Spirit Space circle began similarly. She is now one of the strongest demonstrating mediums that we have ever had here.

Clear soft lighting conditions with the medium sitting in the open cabinet. Witnesses Chris and Jon were seated opposite, each having a clear view.

The medium's trance condition was apparent from the outset, deepening half-way through the opening music.

Many recognised presentations were displayed. Some of these spirit visitors spoke briefly. Chris recognised Harry pegleg, Maestro, the Angel, Elf, the Chief, Mary with baby, the Monk and Chan. These were in addition to Jock and Ted. A newcomer came forward too, a slave named Samuel, introduced himself.

There was still general chaos throughout the seance....with spirit visitors overlapping and pushing each other aside. Chan had the giggles again, and Harry pegleg was heartily laughing for much of the time! At one point the medium ended up on the floor! We hope that some stability or spiritual sanity evolves soon....although it is great fun as it is.....!

The lodge was set with soft lighting conditions.

Within the first piece of music played, Richard was clearly experiencing spirit control. Maestro was the first spirit to come forward. As usual, he appeared to conduct the music with some precision.

Maestro spoke briefly on this occasion, indicating that he was not English, and that he was a musical conductor and also a singer. He offered his name as Roland.

As usual the room was set with soft lighting. Richard was seated in the open cabinet, with Chris about 6ft away. Tonight a camera was set up for evaluation purposes.

The seance was busy, highly active, and very interesting. Two spirit knocks were heard clearly and without doubt. A third knock was heard faintly, its source less certain. The regular communicators made their presence known, as did several other spirit visitors.

One such interesting guest was Ted. Ted presented as a sad and lonely man. He explained that he had been sitting alone in his chair for many years, about ten years he thought, sitting in his chair, reading the Times from front to back, from back to front. He had medals, many medals. Yet he died alone, in the dark, sitting in his chair. he had called for help, but no-one came. He demonstrated how his head had fallen back, and he'd died. He came through sadly, not being quite sutre that he had in fact died, as nothing had changed. He was still alone, in his chair, in the dark. As Chris talked to him the angel presentation came forward and appeared to lift Ted from his chair. What actually took place was out of our world and remains a mystery. We hope that Ted will come through again, hopefully when he's feeling better. It would be very interesting to hear how he gets on. But...we may never know...

When the final music was played both Elf and Joseph came forward, presenting themselves clearly and obviously through Richard! Elf and Joseph are both part of Sandy's spirit team. Sandy is another of the mediums sitting for development within the Lodge.

This séance began as previously, with Richard seated in the open cabinet in soft pink lighting conditions.

I had been guided prior to this séance to create a CD that reflected the personalities of the communicating spirit visitors that have presented to date. This CD would encourage the spirit visitors to come forward again. I had previously been led to understand that the spirit team share a particular interest in music…which is what had caused me to title the group Spirit Harmony.

After the opening music Maestro came through, his presence obvious. He conducted the music with precision and flair, clearly enjoying his ability to again be controlling physical movement.

The gentleman with one leg was the next to present….although for some reason he didn’t stay long. It soon became apparent that the angel wished to take his place. However, ‘Jake’ wasn’t convinced that he should pushed aside, and nor was Maestro prepared to totally step back either….so all three did their best to present through the medium at the same time!

After some chaotic manipulation, the Angel came forward, with some show of strength pushing the others aside. As the angel presented largely, it became clear that he was finding it extremely difficult to sit upright within the frame of the medium, whose body was reclining within the chair. The angel’s wings were simply heavy to his sides and were difficult to lift. In turn he swung them and then lifted them widely. Finally he attempted to lift them to become folded in ‘his’ lap…all of his efforts being unsuccessful, he finally gave up.

The lady with the baby was the next to present, she gently holding her infant and singing softly. She has not offered us her name, so we will refer to her as Mary.

The Native American, last week presenting so rudely towards me, came forward when the drumming music was played. His feet stamping upon the floor, his vessels body lifted upright to sit firmly and with a display of this Indian’s control. This Indian has offered us the name of White Feather.

Finally a new communicator, Chan, came forward. A gentle figure, presenting warmly and with open friendship, he was a very welcome visitor. Chan described himself as being a helper, who ‘tweeks’ things throughout the séance, and told me that the Indian is the gatekeeper of the spirit team.

In all this was a very enjoyable séance, with obvious progress being made. The music isn’t quite right yet, and further adjustments will be made to this by the time we sit again next Tuesday evening. With a little more stability this Circle should be ready to welcome a second witness…probably early in July. We will await guidance before inviting further regular sitters or guests.

At this time we have not set an Intent for the development of this Circle. Stability needs to be in place before we can discuss this with the spirit team. Meanwhile we will enjoy all that is unfolding!

May 27th

The seance began as had the first one last week. The lighting was soft but clear and the medium was seated in the open cabinet.  I was the only supporting sitter...I sat about 6ft away from the cabinet, with a clear view.  A digital audio recorder was in place beside the cabinet and I had a hand-held video camera if I wished to use it.  I opened the seance with the customery prayer, and added a request for the recording devices to be accepted.

Less than half way through the opening music it was clear that a spirit visitor was present. He I recognised as 'Maestro'...who had presented similarly last week and acted as a conductor to the music. His presence faded after awhile and someone else came forward, not known. Then another visitor presented strongly, appearing to me as an ancient man, wearing robes, he appeared Chinese. He appeared to me partially through objective transfiguration and partially through psychic reading of the energy...the latter supported by FC's translation. As the Chinese appearance faded there was an overlay...looking then like a Native American...before he too faded.  A lady came...she cradled a baby, softly caring for the child for a few minutes. All these gentle appearances came and went in a gentle flow, with some order. I appreciated watching the evolvement towards stable development of a new Circle. Within the lodge many such circles have become started....some have continued for years, others have lasted for much shorter periods. All are interesting....

Later within the seance a strong Native American came forward...his face recognised as having been briefly seen earlier in the evening (after the Chinaman). He described himself as 'The Control' and he spoke to me rudely, as if I was something akin to an earwig.  I responded to this by pointing out that I consider myself his equal..and after awhile he grudgingly conceded to this possibility.

Another presentation was of a healer, presenting strongly as an angel. Again, this impression was supported by FC....although the angel also described himself as such. After a little spiritual guidance had been offered, the angel referring rather scathingly to the ego of mankind upon the earthplane, I thanked him for his philosophy, before asking why he chose to present to me as a highly evolved being, complete with wings. This question seemed to cause a little puzzlement. I further asked whether his wings had grown, or whether they had been given to him, rather like a badge of achievement. He had never been asked this question before and said that he had never thought about it, but would think and let me know. So I invited him to maybe reply to my question upon another occasion. We parted thus, on friendly terms.

The evening was topped off by the presentation of last weeks communicator, who had jokingly told me to call him Harry Pegleg....because he'd lost a leg to gangrene and could no longer ride his bike! The communicator was clearly overjoyed to be back with us again and immediately presented with a strong bout of good humour! The poor Medium was totally overtaken ...being swept away by the sudden uproarious and uncontrollable laughter that burst from his chest...with his arms and legs flying in all directions...he looked like Noddy being shaken by Big Ears!  I reached for the camera! It wasn't long of course before the humour threw Richard completely out of trance...but his laughter was by then well established and the camera continued to roll : )

Sometimes seances aren't about capturing evidential phenomena....sometimes seances are more about the creation of positive energy, brought about by pure enjoyment! Seances are always great fun!

FIRST SITTING. May 20th 2011

This was a casual one-to-one sitting for development. Neither Richard nor myself held any expectations whatsoever. The lodge was set with red lighting. Richard was seated in the open cabinet. I sat nearby, with a clear view of the cabinet. A regular CD was playing. The amosphere was comfortable and we were both at ease within the familiar environment. Gradually I sensed that the spirit people were around and drawing close to the Medium.

Richard appeared to be in light to mid trance condition, which I felt was spirit-controlled, so I began to speak...keeping my voice steady and with a level tone. I welcomed spirit forward, asking them to communicate; just generally chatting as if to them. At first there was little indiction that any would make an attempt to communicate. Then one came forward, laughing...clearly enjoying himself, but he withdrew shortly. Another, an obvious musician, began to joyfully enjoy the music. He moved his hands finely, with expertise, obviously conducting the music. He appeared interesting, but failed to offer communication.

Then a third spirit person came forward. He controlled Richard physically, presenting himself to have a damaged or missing right leg. As he settled 'into' the medium further he became able to speak. This was, in fact, Richard's first experience of trance-enabled communication. He felt it to be rather strange, but we both consider the experiment sufficiently interesting to sit together again. We have no further expectations beyond that, at this point.
